Innovation and technological progress have become important factors not exclusively in academia or engineering intensive industries but comparably well in sectors such as banking or health care. We have expertise in shaping these innovation processes towards an increased productivity and to create the prerequisites for creativity. Ergonomics and Media. Success of innovative technologies and products consider capacity and needs of potential users. Furthermore, economical factors such as productivity, malfunctions and accidents are strongly related to the design of technologies and products. Using various scientific approaches we study the relationship between demands resulting from new information media and the needs and capacity of users. Findings are used to implement new technologies and products in collaboration with industrial partners. >more

Start-ups close the gap between academic research and the commercialisation of the research results, which, in innovation processes, represents a serious barrier. For example, as academic or industrial spin-offs, they facilitate the transfer of research results into products, because they have an advantage of flexibility and short development times.
