Master MSc MTEC Thesis

The topics of the master thesis are primarily decided by the faculty’s research members. Our thesis proposals can be found here.

Basically, students are free to contact companies for their master theses.

If you would like to write a thesis with us which is not published here, please provide the following (half page) information via e-mail:

1. topic of the thesis
2. company involved with the thesis (if there is a company involved)
3. problem you would like to solve
4. expected outcome of your thesis (according to the described problem)

consider to contact Florian Rittiner belonging to the research group of the new TIM.
The topics of the master thesis are primarily decided by the faculty's research members.

Registration for a master thesis in the area of Technology and Innovation Management of Prof. Dr. Roman Boutellier requires the attendance of the consolidation module (“Vertiefungsblock”) Technology and Innovation Management. Information about required courses can be foud here.

In this case, the assistant, respectively the professor, has to be informed at least four months in advance concerning the topic and the intention. Two months before the start of the master thesis, a written confirmation of acceptance by the company must be on hand. The assistant and the professor check the task and decide if it is satisfactory from a scientific point of view.
