Unser erstes Symposium "Neue Arbeitswelten" an der ETH Zürich hat mit 130 Teilnehmern grossen Anklang gefunden. Daher freuen wir uns den Termin für das nächste Symposium rund um die Themen Arbeitswelten, Architektur, Kunst, Forschung, Innovation und Kommunikation bekannt geben zu können: am 7. März 2013
Ganz besonders ist diesmal der Veranstaltungsort: Das Symposium wird direkt auf dem Novartis Campus in Basel stattfinden und Führungen beinhalten.

Moritz Vischer works as a scientific collaborator at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zürich (ETH Zürich). He belongs to the research group of Prof. Dr. Roman Boutellier, who chairs the fields of Technology and Innovation Management at the Department «Management, Technology, and Economics» (D-MTEC).
Born September 18th, 1980 in Switzerland, Moritz Vischer grew up and graduated from High School in Zurich. In 2007 he obtained his “Diplomingenieur” (MSc) degree in Industrial Management and Manufacturing at the ETH in Zurich with majors in Logistics and automated Production. As an undergraduate he studied mechanical and process engineering at the ETH in Zurich.
His studies included an internship at the Saitek Electronics (Shenzhen) Ltd. production plant in China and work as an assistant Scientific Assistant at the Center for Product Design at the ETH Zurich involving supervision of student exercises in product innovation and technical drawing.
After completing a term paper at Rheinmetall WM Schweiz AG in Zürich Oerlikon, involving an analysis of company logistics, he could use these findings to complete his diploma thesis at RWMS Schweiz AG. Having gained a throughout insight into the company and its products he was given a 50% position of management assistant at the company. In 2008 he was involved in the plastics injection moulding department as assistent manager. In 2009 he was asked to joint the R&D department of RWM Schweiz AG.
The emphasis of his research is understanding how technologies and production capabilities can get lost in connection with outsourcing and globalization. The focus is also on understanding how older technologies and technologies deemed obsolete can be reintroduced into a modern production environment.
